The Friends of Roland Run did an informal inventory of birds along the Roland Run from Trebor Court
to the end of Greenspring Drive. FORR identified many types of birds over a one year time frame, from
2021 to 2022, 34 in all. FORR missed some, but here is a list of what they observed.

  • Sparrows ( ten different types that are hard to distinguish between)

  • Mourning Dove
  • Owls
  • Hawks
  • Vultures
  • Heron
  • Mallard Ducks
  • Titmouse
  • Gnatcatchers
  • Flycatchers
  • Spring Warblers

Our neighbors and friends marvel at the diversity of birds in our area. Just the diversity of birds is one
reason Country Club Park a great place to live; a noted bird haven with a diversity of birds.
